5/8/13 Gypsy has
been with me for almost 4 months and has continued to be overlooked. She is
one of the most easygoing fosters I have had in my home. Gypsy
has been around several other fosters, as well as many different people,
children, & other pets. She wants nothing more then to be given love.
Gypsy has put on some weight since coming into my home because she is the
one who cleans all the dog bowls after dinner.
Gypsy loves to go for a walk/run and will sit patiently for her leash -
her attitude is...I have all day to wait for my walk. She has also adjusted
very well with my cats and has stopped chasing them. I am shocked that
somebody has not snatched her up as she is the best snuggler. She also
listens very well with commands. Gypsy would love to have a home to call
forever. Please don't let her age fool you - she is a wonderful little
girl who is very eager to please.

We wanted
to share a couple of Gypsy's Easter pictures from her foster home.

Gypsy
has been with me for 2 months and 2 days - she is such a great little girl
who seems to be getting overlooked. Gypsy is housetrained and crate trained.
She enjoys spending her days relaxing on the couch and looking out the
window. Gypsy is a super good listener and responds well to directions.
While she enjoys being the center of attention, Gypsy has done very well
with my last 3 fosters, as well as my own 2 Boxers.
Gypsy will literally jump up and down to go out for a walk or to go for a
ride in the car. She is so young at heart. One of my complaints with her,
though, is that she doesn't take a very good picture. Please don't let
that discourage you as I can assure you she is a real cutie with a gorgeous
little face and a huge heart.
My sister recently watched Gypsy for a weekend and had nothing but the
best things to say about her. She indicated that if she didn't have
her small dogs already, she would be applying herself. Gypsy is one of the
sweetest girls I have met. I think Gypsy is going to make a family
complete

Gypsy is
doing great in her foster home. She is getting along well with both of
my boxers. Gypsy is a very outgoing girl now that she has come out of her
shell. Gypsy is housetrained as well as crate-trained. She is a little shy
when first meeting new people, but within 3 seconds she is a total
sweetheart :)
Gypsy seems very eager to please. She will sit and wait for a treat as
well as clean her bowl & any leftovers she can find. She is like a little
vacuum cleaner. Gypsy is also great on the leash; however, with the cold
weather we are not getting out as much as she would like to. Everybody that
has met Gypsy has said that she does not look nor act 9 - we are wondering
if she may be a little younger than reported. Gypsy is in great shape and
very active, but when it's bed time she is a total snuggler. She will lay at
the top of the bed like a little human and sleeps until you say good morning
- then she has the whole boxer wiggle going on. She also seems to listen
very well if you correct her.
With senior sweetheart month approaching in February, I am really hoping
that there is a special home out there looking for a great little girl to
make their family complete. If you think you have what it takes to give
Gypsy her forever home, please apply today.

Gypsy is a 9 year old female boxer who was surrendered to the shelter
along with Blaze, a 2 yr old male boxer, when their owner lost his home. The
owner reported that Gypsy was housebroken and crate trained. She is very
friendly, always eager to meet people and give lots of kisses. Gypsy gets
along with other dogs that are not dominant with her. She does not do well
with cats. Gypsy will be arriving at her foster home soon and we will update
her page once we learn more about her. Thank you for your interest in
this petite, senior girl! |
