Hi, I'm Hannah. At least, that's what they've been calling me for the last 4 weeks. It makes everyone really happy when they say it and I look up. Plus, it often means treats! Who wouldn't answer?

Do you like tigers? My foster-mommy says I look like one with my long tail. She keeps joking about feeling like Princess Jasmine with Rajah. Not sure I know who they are...but I have long neck like a princess! My foster mommy got me a great big pillow bed to lay on! It's my favorite....except for laying in the sun rays or next to my foster-mom. I try to lay next to her to let her know I appreciate being here, especially when she's home and I can choose which room to relax in.

I like to give gentle kisses too. I don't mind belly rubs, hip scratches, pats on the head....I even let some puppies tug on me the other day ( I thought those days were supposed to be over now!). I get along with my foster-uncle. He's a 40 pound sheltie-mix. I think 10 of that's hair - he's not slick and silky like me. And mine is all growing back in from where they cut it to take a bump out!

I keep trying to give Buddy kisses and curl up...but he's kind of a grumpy old man. He tried to do a boxer lean the other day and fell over...kinda on me. I didn't mind. We napped by grandma Donna with our legs all crossed. Maybe he'll warm up to me after all! Time to go. We didn't get a walk this morning so time for one now. I'm hoping for one of the parks. I love walking at the parks and meeting everyone!

Miss Hannah is doing great in her foster home! She gets along well with the other dogs and would really love to have a companion in her forever home. She is also in love with her her 5 year old skin-nephew! Hannah enjoys going for walks and has even started playing some with her foster mom. Hannah is a really lovable girl. Won't you give Hannah the home she deserves? Apply today!

Hannah had some of her spunk back in her step walking yesterday, but then enjoyed sleeping the rest of the day. She was feeling well enough to give her foster mom one of those "looks" full of attitude this AM when asked to get up for a walk. She did fine meeting a little dog this afternoon and another tiny friend this morning.  She is still not interested in playing, but she is still getting used to all of the changes in her world. We will keep you posted...unless you want to be the family that allows Hannah to blossom in your home. If so, put in your application for Hannah today.

2/19/13 -

Lookin' to fall in love?!! This girl is sure to steal your heart. Hannah was transported from a shelter in GA on Saturday and we had the honor of spending a few hours with her. She is crate trained, housebroken, and good with other dogs. She bears all the telltale signs of having been used for breeding. Hannah knows how to sit on command, but insists on giving a high-five before taking a treat. Despite being underweight, she takes treats gently and has no issues when her food bowl is being given or taken away.

Hannah is quite comfortable in the house, running from room to room and checking things out. Hannah also enjoys rolling around on the dog bed. Although she was invited to snuggle on the sofa, she chose to lay on the dog bed. This brindle sweetie can do a Boxer bean like no other! But watch that tail!!!!! Yes she has her tail and it's on the move. Hannah is looking for a loving forever home that will provide her with a lifetime of love and happiness. Do you have what it takes? Apply today.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.

Adoptions Fee: Please see our adoption info by clicking on the link at the top of this page.
