5/20/13 Katie is doing just fabulous
in her new foster home. She fits right in with our 8 year old Border Collie
and our 1 year old Kitty. She has been with us for about 3 weeks and is a
complete joy to have around.
Katie is very laid back and does GREAT with our 7 year old son and all of
his friends. Be warned...she does like to give a lot of big wet kisses!
Katie does well in a crate, but because she is so easy and completely
trained - I do not put her in it. Katie prefers to hang out on the couch, a
dog pillow, or just snuggling with you . She loves to ride in the car and go
for walks. We take her to my son's bus stop everyday..she is a huge hit with
all the other children.
I do recommend that Katie be placed in a home with another dog, She is
going to make a lucky family complete. I have had 2 boxers in the past
and she is the most laid back one yet. She is one of the first boxers that I
have also encountered that does well cats! Please consider adopting Katie.

Katie is doing great in her
foster home. She is getting along well with all three other dogs.
She doesn't seem to mind my cats, which is a first for me! Katie is a
very happy, petite Boxer with an adorable face and a huge heart. She
is getting more used to her crate, but would much rather spend her days
relaxing on the couch.
Katie is 100% house trained. She also knows a few basic tricks,
such as sit, speak, and stay. She LOVES to go for walks and has become
a great little traveler.
Katie does not seem to bark at everything like my other Boxers. I
think Katie is a very appreciative kind of girl who really wants to please.
She is a good listener and responds well. While I am sad she had to
wait so long for a foster home, I am 150% sure she is going to make some
family very happy and their home complete. Katie is a cutie and an
awesome little snuggler. If you think you have some extra love to give
to a great girl, apply today to adopt Katie!

Katie is finally out of the
kennel and is settling in well at her new foster home. She is in foster with
three other boxers. Katie seems to be an easygoing girl who loves people.
Her foster mom will update her page once she learns more about her. Included
are a few new pictures from Katie's first couple days in foster. Apply now
to adopt this beautiful girl!

Katie and Brandy were left in the after hours pen at a shelter with a
note saying, "I can't take care of my dogs. Please find them a good
home. If you can, keep them together. Both are friendly dogs and
love people, children, and other animals." The shelter reported
that both girls are very sweet. They did well with the other dogs they
met through the fence at the shelter. Katie and Brandy are not sure
what has happened and are very scared.
Our volunteer picked up both girls from the shelter today to transport
them to our rescue vet, where they will be brought up to date on all care.
They will then need foster or forever homes. If separated, Katie
should be placed into a home with another dog. If you can provide a
foster or forever home for Katie, apply today! We would love to see
her go directly into a home instead of to our boarding kennel. |
