Cassius has been at his foster home for two months now. He is doing great with the three other boxers in the home. Cassius would love to find a forever home with at least one other dog. Cassius would also love a fenced yard, as he really enjoys being outdoors and lounging in his yard.

Cassius is very bright and has picked up quickly on living in a home environment. His foster mom hasn't heard him bark yet, but he has definitely come out of his shell. If you would like to provide a forever home for this handsome boy, apply today for Cassius!

Cassius has just arrived at his new foster home. He is in foster with two female boxers, who he gets along great with. Cassius seems comfortable in a home environment, so we suspect he may have lived inside at some point in his life. He is working on his housetraining and learning new commands.  Cassius's foster mom will update his page once she gets to know him better.  Included are two new pictures from a recent visit at the kennel by our volunteer and photographer (RussellBrammer.com).  

3/23/13 -

Cassius is from a puppy mill and was taken to the shelter when he became too old for breeding.  He is 8 years old and very unsure about all the changes in his life right now.  This adorable boy will be going to our vet to be neutered and brought up to date on all vet care.  He then will need a foster home that can show him that life will be much better from this point on.  He did sneak some kisses in during the transport today and seems to be a really sweet, easygoing boy.  If you are interested in Cassius, please offer to foster or adopt this handsome boy!

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.  

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.  

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.
