Abby is doing great. It has only been three weeks since her surgery.  Abby is gaining strength in her back knees and is able to walk further each day. She is the best dog I have ever fostered. In 20 years of doing rescue, she is one of my favorites.

Abby loves every dog, small and large, and people of all ages. She is a joy to have in my home. I can't imagine anyone getting rid of such a wonderful boxer girl.  It will be difficult to let her go, but she deserves a forever home.

Abby is doing fantastic!  She is in her second week of recovery from surgery.  Thank you for all the support to help this girl get a new start.  She has the sweetest disposition and is going to be a wonderful addition to a new family.

Please help Abby! She just had TLPO surgery on both knees.  She should be fully recovered in about six weeks.  The family that left her at the shelter never noticed her injured knees. If you would like to sponsor Abby, you can do so by clicking on the donate button next to her profile picture. Her surgery cost will range from $2500-3500, depending upon how long she has to stay. Abby is a five year old female boxer who was surrendered to the shelter because her owner is having a new baby. Abby has a very sweet disposition. She is housebroken and good with other dogs. Abby was able to keep her tail, and it wags nonstop! She just arrived at her new foster home.  Abby is already spayed, but she will be brought up to date on all other vet care. Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.  

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.  

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.
