10/20/15 - Forever Foster
Precious will be remaining at her home as a "forever foster." She has
Spina Bifida and limited use of her rear legs. She uses a cart
outside. Precious has adjusted well and is an amazing girl! If
you are interested in helping Precious, please consider donating towards her
care!

Precious is still waiting for her forever family. As a result of Spina
Bifida, Precious has limited use of her rear legs. She also needs to
wear diapers. Precious will use a cart for walks, but does not
typically use the cart inside the house. She is amazingly resilient
and is a very sweet girl. Precious loves to play with the other dogs.
She would do best in a home without a lot of stairs. If you are
interested in Precious, apply today!

Precious is doing well. She is a super sweet girl. Precious loves to play
with her foster brothers and sister. She recently got a set of wheels.
Although she gets around on her own (even up and down the stairs, which is a
bit frightening to watch!), she drags her left rear leg, kind of hopping
with her right rear leg doing all the work. The cart will hopefully help get
her into a correct walking stance and allow her to go for longer walks with
her foster siblings. She has come a long way since first arriving with AABR.

Precious
saw the neurologist on May 9th and he suspected that she has Spina Bifida,
which is a birth defect in which the bones of the spine (vertebrae) do not
form properly around the spinal cord. Precious had surgery the following day
and is now back home with her foster mom. We do not know if or how much she
will improve yet. The hopes are that the surgery will increase her mobility
and improve her urinary incontinence. Thank you to everyone for continuing
to support Precious!

Precious is a five month old girl
who has no use of her back legs. She showed up in someone's yard and AABR
was contacted to help. We are getting tests done to see if we can
determine the cause of her paralysis. Precious will need to be seen by a
Neurologist and will most likely need an MRI, all of which is very
expensive.
We need your help!! Watch Precious'
video and if you can help financially, PLEASE consider making a donation
-even $1.00 will help. We'll update her page as we have more information.
