Daisy (Sunshine) loves her new name! She loves it when her foster mom sings, "Daisy, Daisy, Daisy!" I think she was given the original name of Sunshine because she LOVES to lay in the grass in the sunshine!

Daisy has learned what life is to be loved and fed! She has claimed the brand new chair in the house as her own.  She gets in it before anyone else can and won't move! But she will share if she must. Daisy gets so excited to go on her daily walk and then she naps. Later, it is play time in the yard with her new toys!

Daisy wants everyone to know that she is READY FOR HER FOREVER HOME! She is the biggest snuggle bug :-)

Sunshine has adjusted as if she has been living here for YEARS! She loves to let herself out the doggie door and roll around in the grass or lay in the sun with her foster brother, Jagger. She also loves to play with her toys and curl up on the sofa when she is tired. Sunshine is super low maintenance. All she wants is to be loved and have her own family to love back! She loves to do a wiggle dance for her foster mom, give her kisses, and hold her hand while sleeping (how cute is that??) Please consider opening up your home to this little gal....don't let her age fool you ....she is a spunky girl :-)

Sunshine is a very sweet, gentle, and loving 8 year old female Boxer who was surrendered to the shelter by her owner.  She loves giving kisses.  She has been in her foster home for a week and I must say she is adjusting nicely :-)

Two of our wonderful volunteers drove 20+ hours to Virginia (very close to TN) to pick up this gal and bring her to her new foster family in Delaware.

Sunshine arrived starving for food and love.  She was so appreciative for a warm meal and a soft bed.  She honestly slept reaching for my hand all night on her first night.

By the third day, Sunshine was romping around the yard with a toy in her mouth, only stopping to roll on her back in the grass :-)    Her foster brothers are helping to take care of her and making her feel welcome.  Everyone is getting along great!

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.  

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.  

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.
