Cher is doing wonderful in foster with three children (ages 1.5, 4, and 5 yrs).  She knows a few commands and is completely housebroken.  Since Cher has returned to her foster home, she continues to be rather mellow in the house.  She does enjoy running in the backyard.  Cher spends her day following her foster mom around.  She has been on play dates with other dogs and has done well.  Cher is such a sweet little girl who really needs some consistency and time to adjust.  She is waiting for the right home to give her a lifetime of love.

Cher is coming back into rescue.  She did great in her foster home with kids of all ages and other dogs.  Cher is not doing well in her new home being alone throughout the work day.  She needs a home with another dog and somebody who can let her out mid-day.  Cher may just be too young to be alone all day without a break and she probably misses the company of other dogs.  She is a very sweet girl and this has been a difficult decision for her family.  They just feel she is not happy in their environment.  If you can provide a foster or forever home for Cher, please apply today!

Sweet Cher is doing great in her foster home.  She is living with young children, ages 3 and up, as well as other dogs.  Cher's heartworm treatment went well and she has a month of rest ahead of her.  Cher is a snuggle bug who loves cuddling up with the younger kids in bed.

8/16/13 -

Cher is a spayed fawn female who was found as a stray and is estimated to be around 2 years of age. She came into rescue with Sonny from a shelter in South Carolina. Cher is heartworm positive and will be starting treatment soon. She loves other dogs and is a really sweet girl. Apply today if you are interested in fostering or adopting Cher.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.  

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.  

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.
