10/12/13 Here are a few new pictures
of Rocky from his foster mom. He is settling in nicely, and every day is
calmer, happier and more bouncy. He is wary of people he doesn't know, but
sits when he is told to.
He is very interested in the cats and has been nose to nose with two of
them several times and has not shown any signs of aggression. He will chase
them if they run, but is easily called back.
He will be finished with his antibiotics on Friday, October 10th, but his
kennel cough is already gone. He will be neutered soon.
He is eating like a champ now, and has not done any table or counter
surfing, even when we aren't home. When my son and I are eating, he goes
and lies down on his bed and doesn't beg.
He walks very nicely on a leash, and does not respond to other dogs, even
when they are acting aggressively towards him. Rocky is very attentive to
me and seems to be always studying my face as if to say, 'Are we good?'.
My Boston Terrier is in love with him, and he has been very gentle and
patient with her, and they play very nicely together.
Rocky is absolutely gorgeous and would love to be a lap dog. He seems to
have a preference for females and warms up to them much more quickly and
easily.
This guy deserves a forever home so he can just hang with the family, and
enjoy life. Please consider this sweet guy for your family.

Rocky is a handsome brindle Boxer who was surrendered to the shelter when
his lifelong owner could not care for a pet anymore. He comes with excellent
recommendations and is known to be friendly to all, including other dogs,
children, and strangers. Rocky is a well mannered and friendly boy. He
recently arrived at his new foster home where he is getting along with both
cats and other dogs (large and small). Rocky is very obedient and looks to
his foster mom for cues. |
