6/22/14 Snickers
continues to love life and she has so much fun running in the backyard and
chasing her sister, Trouble, around. We would love to see them get
their forever home together, but they would do just fine in a home of their
own or with another pal also. We can't believe Snickers has been here
since December. Some family is really missing out on a beautiful boxer
girl. Will you be that lucky home that gets to snuggle with her?

Snickers
and Trouble have been with us for 3 months now and it has been a pleasure
getting to know these ladies. Although it would be awesome to keep
these girls together, they would do just fine on their own also.
Snickers is such an easy going girl who loves everybody that she meets.
She loves to go for car rides. Snickers is a loving and loyal girl who
deserves a family of her own.

Snickers
is a new lady! Her surgery was a huge success and her sutures were
just removed. Snickers has so much energy now that she feels like a
brand new dog!

Snickers
is one lucky girl. That is why I love fostering for AABR. They
will do anything they can to give our dogs the best chance at a healthy,
happy life. The difference in Snickers from five weeks ago when we
first met her is amazing! Now that she is on her way to recovery, will
you be the family to give her what all dogs deserve - a loving, forever
home?

The
results of Snicker's biopsy came back and we are happy to report that the
tumor was benign and completely removed. The vet feels she will make a
great recovery!

Snickers
did wonderful with surgery on Monday. The vet is optimistic about her
future. An encapsulated tumor was removed from her spleen and she also
received bone marrow biopsies to help determine why she is anemic. We
will continue to post updates as we learn more about Snicker's recovery and
results.

Snickers
recently had an ultrasound and they found a mass on her spleen. The vet is
going to remove it on Monday morning to give her the best chance. Snickers
may also be having some issues that they feel are secondary to the large
mass in her spleen and she will be getting additional testing to see what
else may be going on with her health. The estimate that we have received
from the animal hospital is $2500.00 on the low end and upwards of $4200.00
on the high end. Please offer to sponsor Snickers to help AABR provide the
vet care she urgently needs. Snickers is such a sweet and wonderfully
tempered girl, and deserves only the best!

Snickers arrived here just over a week ago along with her sister, Trouble.
We were told they both were very sweet girls and that is an understatement.
Snickers is very affectionate. She just wants to lay her head in your
lap and get all the hugs and kisses she can get. Snickers also likes to give
kisses back. She is very easy to take care of. Snickers probably
hasn't had the exercise she needed growing up and she is a little out of
shape. She doesn't pull at all on her walks, but we're working on getting
her a little more trim and active. Snickers seems to be housebroken and is
very quick at doing her business when she does go outside.
Snickers has been fine with our male Boxer, Oscar, who is 9. Since
she is used to having some canine companionship, Snickers would probably
prefer a home with another dog. If you're looking for the typical fun loving
older Boxer girl, Snickers could be the one for you and your family.

Snickers is a 7 year old Fawn female who was surrendered to the shelter
along with another female boxer, Trouble. Snickers and Trouble just arrived
at their new foster home, where they have been given a bath and are settling
in well. More information will be posted as their new foster family gets to
know them better. |
