Ginger is still waiting for her forever family.  She has settled in wonderfully at her foster home and gets along great with both of her foster siblings, a male and female boxer.  Ginger can be timid upon first meeting new people, so will need a home that will be patient with her and give her time to acclimate. She would do best in a home with a male dog and a completely fenced yard.  If you are interested in adopting this beautiful girl, apply today for Ginger!

Included are a few updated pictures of Ginger in her foster home.  As you can see, she loves her foster siblings.  Ginger is ready to find a forever home of her own!  Apply today if you have a male dog, a fenced yard, and feel Ginger would be a great fit.  She is going to be a wonderful addition to a very lucky family.

Ginger has been adjusting really well at her foster home.  She has been getting along great with her foster siblings, and needs another dog in her forever home.  She is a relaxed girl and loves to lay in your lap.  Ginger also enjoys running and playing in her fenced yard.  She is crated during the day while her foster family is at work, with somebody checking on her mid-day.  Ginger has not chewed anything inappropriate in her foster home.  She knows her basic commands and does well on leash.  Ginger also travels well in the car.  She is an absolute cuddle bug and loves to give kisses.

Ginger is looking for a forever home with somebody who can provide a lot of attention and interaction.  She would do best in a home with a male dog and a secure yard to play in.  If you are a great match for Ginger, apply today for this petite and beautiful girl!

Ginger is being returned to rescue because she is chewing things in the house.  She is currently living with two male boxers and she really enjoys being around them.  Ginger is used to having a fenced yard to run and play in.  She does wonderful in her crate.  We would love to see Ginger placed in a home where somebody can be there often during the day and where she can be crated at night initially.  Ginger will be arriving at her new foster home next week.  We will update her page once we learn more about her.

1/2014 - Adopted

1/11/14 -

Ginger was surrendered to the shelter because her owner did not have time for her.  She is a petite girl, weighing only 45 lbs!  Ginger has a bite that sometimes causes her tongue to stick out of her mouth, which makes her even more adorable.  She previously lived with a 9 yr old child.  The owners reported that Ginger did well with other dogs.  She is crate trained and housebroken.  Ginger rides well in the car and loves to play ball.

Ginger did great with her dog and cat evaluations at the shelter.  She was very scared in this environment, though, and spent most of the time hiding in the back corner of her kennel run.  The shelter felt Ginger would do much better in a foster home, so they contacted rescue for help in getting her out quickly.  Ginger was transported to our vet today, where she will be spayed.  She will then be ready for her forever home.  Ginger will need a patient home that can help her come out of her shell.  Apply today for this adorable girl!

2014:

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
