Anneliese loves riding in the car.  She was able to travel to Home Depot recently with her foster parents, where she loved meeting several new people.  Anneliese will now chase her foster brother, Diesel, around the yard.  She loves to throw toys in the air and chase them.  Anneliese has really opened up over the last several weeks.

5/9/14

Anneliese has come out of her shell and is feeling great!  We are surprised that this wonderful girl hasn't been snatched up yet.  She has a lot more energy now and has learned what toys are all about.  Anneliese is doing well with her foster brother, although he plays a little too rough for her.  Anneliese has been around children, but does jump and might knock down a smaller child.  She is very sweet and loves to cuddle.  If you can give Anneliese a forever home, apply today!

4/21/14

Anneliese has gained weight and is doing well in her foster home.  She has become much more energetic and playful.  Anneliese loves to be around her foster parents and will follow them everywhere.  She particularly enjoys leaning on you and laying her head in your lap to encourage pets.  Anneliese will go into the crate with treats and she does well in it.  She is used to a mid-day break.  Anneliese sits and lays down on command, but is still working on stay.  She does need some work with getting excited and jumping on people when she meets them.  Anneliese gets along great with her foster brother, a male German Shepherd.

Anneliese has been a joy in her foster home, but we would like to find her a family with a more laid back dog to pal around with.  If you can provide a forever home for Anneliese, apply today!

3/29/14

Anneliese arrived at her new foster home today, where she will be living with a male German Shepherd.  Anneliese traveled great in the car and loved meeting new people.  We will update her page with more information soon!  Thank you for your interest in Anneliese.

3/28/14 -

Anneliese is a white boxer girl who was seized from her home along with Lexi.  She is estimated to be around 4 years of age.  The owners have signed both dogs over to the shelter and they will be joining AABR.  Anneliese needs to gain a few pounds.  The volunteer that met her at the shelter indicated that she wiggled her butt so hard that she thought she would go in circles!  Anneliese is very friendly with people and she played nicely with another dog at the shelter.  Anneliese will be transported this weekend and we will update her page soon with more pictures and information.  Apply today if you are interested in fostering or adopting Anneliese.

In loving memory of Anneliese M. Siatta.  God decided to take this sweet girl after only 6 short years.  She had a special love for all animals.  You will be forever remembered by each person whose heart you touched.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 3 months to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Not every home is the right match for a boxer, and matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us at your home visit of other dogs you are interested...  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
