Looking for a home with older children - 14 or older

2/16/15

Oliver is a young, playful male who is still looking for his perfect home.  He would love a home with another active dog to play with, somebody there often, and a fenced yard.  Apply today if you are interested in Oliver!

2/01/15

Oliver is in need of a new foster home.  His foster brother prefers to be the only dog in the home and hasn't been happy since Oliver arrived.  Oliver has been moved several times already, and we would love to make the next home his forever one.  Oliver is very well behaved and loves other dogs.  He would do best in a home with older children or no children.  Oliver would enjoy having a fenced yard to run and play in.  Apply today if you are interested in fostering or adopting Oliver!

1/21/15

Oliver is being returned to rescue to find a better match.  He would do best in a home with children over the age of 14 and with another dog.  Oliver can be rough with small children and does not know his strength  Although he was previously in a home with a cat, Oliver does want to constantly play and will try to box them.  He is a very lovable boy and enjoys cuddling with you.  Oliver is a good listener when given commands and he walks well on leash.  Oliver needs an active family and a home that will give him daily exercise.

12/2014 - Adopted

12/17/14

Oliver just arrived at his new foster home in Pennsylvania.  He listens well and is a wonderful boxer boy!  We will update his page once his foster family gets to know him better.

12/05/14

Oliver is looking for a new foster home or a forever home.  He would do best with somebody that is home most of the time.  Oliver does not do well in the crate.  He is good with other dogs and also with cats.  Oliver can be jumpy and nippy when excited, so a home with older children would be best.  We believe he may have allergies, so Oliver is on a special grain free diet and also takes Benedryl.  Included is a new picture of Oliver comforting his foster brother, who broke his legs in an accident.  Can this boy get any sweeter?

11/10/14

Oliver continues to do well in his foster home.  He no longer suffers from Demodex Mange, but we believe he does have some food allergies.  Oliver has recently been placed on an allergy medication and a special grain free fish diet.

Oliver is a very sweet boy that loves to cuddle and also enjoys belly rubs.  He would do well in a home that can work on basic obedience and provide this young boy with plenty of exercise.  Please consider adopting Oliver today!

5/24/14

Oliver has moved to a new foster home in New York, where he is living with both a male and female boxer.  He is still being treated for Demodex mange, although a lot of his hair has grown back in nicely.  Oliver's new foster home will provide an update once they get to know him better.

5/9/14

Oliver is still looking for his forever home. He is a super friendly boy.  Oliver does like to chase the cat, but he is just trying to play.  He enjoys going for walks and the kids always come over to pet him.  He is an active boy who loves attention.  If you are interested in adopting Oliver, apply today!

4/12/14

Oliver is doing great in his foster home with a female boxer and a cat.  He gets along very well with his foster sister, Camille, and they enjoy playing together.  Oliver really loves his walks and he does great on leash.  As you can see in the new picture, Oliver's hair seems to be growing back in and he is gaining a little weight.  He is such a sweet boy and loves any and all attention!

3/29/14

Oliver just arrived in Pennsylvania after making a long journey from a Tennessee shelter.  He just arrived at his foster home. Oliver will need some work on his basic commands.  He has a fabulous personality and is very trusting.  Apply today to adopt Oliver!

3/23/14 -

Oliver is a male boxer who is estimated to be around 1-2 yrs of age.  He was found as a stray in a southern shelter, but not reclaimed.  Oliver has started treatment for Demodex mange.  He is a super sweet and friendly boy.  Oliver is reported to be good with other dogs.  He will be arriving at his new foster home soon and we will post an update once Oliver's foster home gets to know him better.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 3 months to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Not every home is the right match for a boxer, and matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us at your home visit of other dogs you are interested...  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
