4/27/15

Oscar is still waiting patiently for his forever home.  Until then, he will enjoy meeting and living with new foster siblings.  It must make him wonder, why not me, when one of his siblings in adopted out.  Oscar loves everyone he meets and would do great in a home with or without a canine companion.  Will you be that family that lets Oscar say, "I am finally home!"

1/04/15

Oscar continues to do well in foster and he is loving his foster sisters, Janie and Pearl.  He enjoys playing with them and all three take turns playing tag.  He would certainly like to start the new year with a family to call his very own.  Oscar is a loving and loyal boy.  He would do great in an active home, although he also loves spending time just relaxing on the couch and laying in your lap.

10/28/14

Oscar charmed the crown at the Vino on the Mountain event over the weekend.  He made a lot of friends and is hoping he may have found his forever home. Oscar also had a follow up appointment for his eye early this week, and it has completely healed!

10/21/14

Oscar is doing great in his foster home.  He recently had the remainder of the ulcer removed from his eye and will be back to brand new in no time!  Oscar is a total sweetheart.  He loves to cuddle and be near people at all times.  Oscar is also very good with other dogs. Don't let his age fool you - he loves to play and has the best boxer wiggle!!

9/27/14

Oscar stopped by to say hello and to let us know that he needs a bit of assistance with his upcoming vet bill.  Oscar came into rescue with an ulcer on his eye and it still has not healed properly, so he will be getting a little help from the doctor.  We are expecting his procedure to be $200-300.  Please help Oscar by donating towards his care.  He is also still looking for his forever family!

8/20/14

Oscar is in need of a new foster home or an adoptive home because his family had never owned a dog before and did not know the demands of a wiggly, lovable boxer boy like Oscar.  He loves to cuddle and be next to humans.  Oscar is dog friendly.  He is crate trained and housebroken.  Please consider bringing this sweet boy into your home!

8/17/14

Oscar is in need of a foster home until his forever family finds him.  He is reported to be good with other dogs and loves everyone he meets.  If you are able to help Oscar, apply today!

8/13/14

Oscar loves cuddling up by our feet and getting scratches behind his ears.  He is responding well to commands and knows sit, lay down, and come.  Oscar will now spend time on his own in his crate (when he is not sprawled next to us).  He loves being around people and giving boxer kisses!  Oscar is still looking for a forever home.

8/03/14

Oscar is being returned to rescue because he is not a good fit for his current home.  Oscar has recently been evaluated by a trainer, who felt Oscar was a great boy.  He gets along well with other dogs after proper introductions.  Oscar is looking for an experienced, active home that can continue his training.  At the end of the day, he just wants to be loved and by your side.  Apply today if you are interested in adopting Oscar!

Meet Oscar, the happy boxer boy!  Oscar is excited to meet all the new humans in his foster home.  He is in foster with a female boxer and he loves her!  Oscar would be a great addition to your family and he is ready to be your companion.  Do you want to hike?  So does Oscar!  Do you want to go for a ride?  Oscar does too!  How about a long walk?  Okay!! Oscar is ready to do what you want to do.  He is just happy being with you.  Please give this great boy his forever home!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 3 months to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Not every home is the right match for a boxer, and matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us at your home visit of other dogs you are interested...  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
