Roxie is still looking for a foster or permanent home.  She loves going for long walks and just wants to snuggle up next to you or be anywhere you are.  Roxie would do best in a home with older children and without other dogs, or with a submissive male dog.  If you can foster or adopt Roxie, apply today - she is a great girl!

Roxie is settling into her foster home nicely.  She is a great snuggle bug and wants to be on your lap whenever she can.  She likely was not well socialized in her previous home, so her foster home is working on her excitement and manners around new people.  She is also working on her leash manners, as Roxie tends to pull a bit.  She does great with the 7 yr old child in the home but for the jumping reason when friends come to visit, she would probably be best in a home with older children.

Roxie is very mellow and companionable.   She enjoys a good walk and whenever the word is mentioned, she is ready to get up and go.  Her foster mom continues to enjoy her company but would love for this gal to find her forever home for the holidays.

This is Roxie, a 7 yr old female boxer in CT that is in urgent need of a new home.  She is spayed and up to date on vaccines.  Roxie lived previously with a Boston Terrier and a cat, and was reported good with both.  She is a social and sweet girl.  One of our volunteers met Roxie this evening and indicated she is wonderful!

Roxie's owner can not keep her and is heartbroken.  She needs to find a new home by Thursday, or will have to be boarded at a kennel.  If you are interested in fostering or adopting Roxie, apply today!

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 3 months to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.  

Not every home is the right match for a boxer, and matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time. 

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us at your home visit of other dogs you are interested...  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.
