2/16/15 Phoebe is doing great in her
foster home. She is living with three other boxers and enjoys their
company. She would do best in a home without cats, though.
Phoebe is crate trained, house trained, and has great leash manners.
She loves to go for walks when the weather is nice and enjoys sharing her
human bed with all the other dogs. Phoebe has gained a few pounds and
is really starting to fill out nicely. She is her foster mom's shadow
and follows her wherever she goes. Phoebe is very treat motivated.
She eats all her carrots, green beans, bananas, yogurt, and peanut butter
filled kongs (which are her favorite).
Phoebe came into rescue in very poor shape and we are still trying to
determine the cause of her skin issues. Phoebe will be following up
with our rescue vet next week for an update. This beautiful girl would
love to find a forever family to call her own. She is a terrific,
petite girl with a huge heart. If you think you could make all her
dreams come true, please apply today for Phoebe.

Phoebe has arrived at her new
foster home and is settling in well with the three other boxers. She
wants nothing more than to be next to her foster mom. Phoebe needs
some work with her crate training, but is making progress with each day.
She visited our vet this evening and is starting new medication for her
skin. We will continue to update her page as we learn more about
Phoebe.

Phoebe has been placed in a
temporary foster home while she waits for her transport to AABR. She
is a petite girl and is doing great with the other dogs. Phoebe
visited the vet on Monday and was started on antibiotics for her skin
infection. Phoebe will be placed on a grain free, high quality diet
and we are eager to monitor her progress. We will update Phoebe's page
once she has arrived at her foster home in Maryland and we learn more about
her!

Phoebe and Rocky were surrendered to the shelter by their owner.
They were dehydrated, very thin, and had a significant amount of hair loss.
A skin scrape came back negative. The vet is suspecting a possible
grain or flea allergy. They will be started on a high protein, grain
free food to help their skin and to help them gain some much needed weight.
Both Phoebe and Rocky are super friendly and loving dogs. They are
reported to be housetrained, good with other dogs, and wonderful with
children. Phoebe only weighs 33 lbs at this time.
They will be going into a temporary foster home until their transport to
AABR in February. We would love to find them a foster or forever home
where they can remain together, but will consider separating them if they
are placed into a home with a resident dog of the opposite sex.
We will continue to update their page with their progress as they get the
care they need! |
