- Friends for Life Inc. Parker arrived on March 26, 2013 at the
age of 5 months. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and almost
housebroken. Our local trainer, Janice Mollet, has said that Parker is
a true Heinz 57, as everybody sees something different in him. We do
believe he has some Boxer in him, but the other breeds are anybody's guess!
Parker is very affectionate. He is an active boy, but also settles
down well - especially for his afternoon siestas. Parker's ideal home
would be one where he would get long walks or runs to wear him out.
Parker would be great at agility or fly ball. He will usually sit on
command and will also sit for a toy to be thrown, which he will then catch
in his mouth and play fetch with you. Parker has been enrolled in two
Puppy Star classes.
Parker shares his living space with a group of 10 other dogs, large and
small. The smallest dog he lives with is a 7 lb Chihuahua and the
largest dog is a 70 lb Chow mix. Most are senior dogs. Parker
would love a home with another dog close to his age and energy level.
He is around cats regularly and basically ignores them. If one would
run, though, Parker would likely give chase. Parker is crated at night
and at times during the day. He is a very intelligent fellow with a
lot of potential!
