Vixen "Still Available"
01/25/06 - Vixen
Vixen is doing very
well. She is now 50lbs. She had gained over 15 lbs in a short time. She is
good with kids and loves to hang out with people and get attention. We can
now safely spay her and will do so within a week, and hope to be able to get
her into her own home soon.
Please open your
heart up for this survivor.
01/12/06 - Dasher
Here are some
pics of Dasher. He’s doing well. He comes when you call him and walked great
for me on a leash. He's gained so much weight and has a lot more energy. He
is very handsome.

Vixen is in a
new foster with another male boxer and we will get an update form her foster
mom soon.
Dasher is
doing well in his new foster home. His foster Dad said that Dasher is doing
so well. His first few days were tough. He was scared and nervous. It took
just a few days for him to learn he is safe and now he is starting to act
like a dog and not a statue. He is getting the wiggles and learning what it
means to go outside and be let back in. He is doing fantastic.
Its sad that we
had to split up Dasher from Vixen but it helped both of them to get into
good homes faster. They need to regroup and recover from years of neglect.
They are on their way. They each had their first de worming treatment and
will get another one in 2 weeks.
This year will be
a great year for both of them as they start their new lives. More to come
soon.
12/18/05 - Vixen and Dasher
This young pair was
removed from their owners on a cruelty charge. A home in PA had this pair
tied out in below zero temperatures to a veri-kennel. Our volunteer went to
pick them up from the officer who had them surrendered to us and they could
not walk to the car.
They were immediately
rushed to the our vet and given iv fluids . They had low body temperatures
from being so cold with no shelter and were found to be loaded with hook,
whip and round worms. She was so thin, but we thought there was a chance
that Vixen could be pregnant. Sadly she gave birth to 4
puppies that didn't survive. She looked so sad and when she looked at
them.
We are so thankful
that the all breed rescue who got them for us, did so before she gave
birth outside. She never would have survived.
We are looking for
fosters for both dogs. Please help us help them. They will need tlc and
frequent feedings.
