Update - Miss Betty continues to enjoy life here in our Foster home. She
enjoys our walks and has met several of the neighbors. She is wonderful w/
everyone that she meets. Betty is a very sweet and easy girl to have in our
home. She adjusted quickly to our daily routine and learned which door is
for "potty" and which door is for "walks" and which staircase leads to the
kids!!!!! Betty sleeps in her crate in our office @ night and greets us with
big wiggles every morning. She practically bends herself into a "C" wiggling
the whole time...while she says goodmorning!!!!
Betty continues to be great w/ our male Boxers. They love to play in the
yard and sometimes nap together. Betty and my youngest boy-boxer share every
thing... food, water, toys & chewies. She also loves to clean his face!!! We
have made much progress w/ the cat. Betty was curious and wanted to take a
big sniff.. the first time it was ok, the second time the cat ran and Betty
chased. After that I kept them apart for a couple of days and slowly
reintroduced them. Betty is now able to be in the room w/ the cat w/out
issue. It took several meetings and me reminding her to "be nice" or just
say "no" and she would stop in her tracks and walk away from the cat. Now
she walks past the cat like she doesn't even notice that she is there.
I feel that Betty prefers human companionship. She absolutely loves our
children and lavishes our son's face w/ kisses (because he encourages her
to) she will give gentle kisses otherwise. While in the yard ... she'll romp
and play w/ the boxers and then return to check on the children. If she
hears an unfamiliar noise she runs to check it out and back us. She will
give a "protected by Boxer bark" just to let those on the other side of the
fence know that there is a beautiful, petite boxer-girly on duty !!! Betty
is wonderful. It would be hard not to fall in love w/ her.. she is just
perfect!!! If you are the family that open your hearts and home to this
beautiful boxer-girly.. You will be very blessed, she is sweet, smart and
eager to please and has so much love and devotion to give in return.

Transported into rescue by Greg Biffle, then placed into foster care.
Betty has been in our foster home just over a week. It has been a joy
getting to know her. Betty has a beautiful healthy coat and warm brown eyes
and a face full of expression. She is a sweet and wonderful boxer girly with
the cutest little wiggles. Her tail is constantly wagging. She is a happy
girl and always up for anything....even if that anything is just sitting
beside you for a belly rub.
Betty has settled in nicely and gets along w/ our 2 Boxer boys though she
prefers human companionship as she is never to far from me. She loves our
children and when asked she gives gentle kisses. Betty rides well in the
car, loves going for walks and likes to romp in the yard. She can be
actively playing and then will settle in a second. Betty is crate trained,
house trained, knows all basic commands, walks wonderful on a leash. Betty
has great manners she does not get on the furniture and does not jump. She
has shared her water bowl and even shared her left over food w/ her foster
brother.
Betty is a beautiful girl w/ a wonderful personality. She would make a
great addition to any family. She would get along w/ a passive personality
male dog or just love being doted on as the one & only. Betty's story began
w/ a rescue Hero...we are blessed to be able to know her and love her along
her journey. Betty is now looking for her forever home....her "happily ever
after".

NASCAR
Driver to the Boxer Rescue!
Meet the two sweethearts, Betty
and Barbara, who hailed from North Carolina last
weekend, thanks to Greg Biffle and Nicole Lunders' generosity and love for
the breed. Thank you again, Greg and Nicole.
Betty and Barbara are two very, very sweet and exceptionally friendly
girls who love everyone, and especially each other. They are currently being
boarded at the vet’s and are being spayed this week. They have had no
accidents in their crate, so we suspect they may be house broken. Their
check out time is Friday morning (June 16) and we are looking for a
wonderful home, either foster or forever, who will open their hearts and
home to these two girls. It is our wish to place them together, if humanly
possible, but we know that may not be possible and will place them
separately if necessary. They love each other so much and nothing would make
us happier than to see them go to a wonderful new home as a pair.
Will you be their next hero? |
