Bowman has been with us for a month now. He's everything you could want in furry family companion. He is completely housebroken, gentle natured, loving and obedient. We have two females and one other adult male in our house and he gets along with everyone. We have a few chickens and he shows no interest in them at all, but is fascinated by the four cows that live behind us. He is not a barker, but is ready to investigate new arrivals or different sounds. Bowman is a happy, playful young boy; he is well mannered and well behaved in the house and loves to romp and play outside in the yard. One of our other dogs is an 8 month old deaf female, who can really be annoying to the others. Bowman tolerates her and gently plays with her. He is an absolute gentleman. He is such a handsome boy and his skin is improving greatly. He is one of the Best you could ever get.

7/16/06 - Bowman

This is Bowman and he has shot an arrow of Love straight into our hearts. He is hunting for his forever family. He is a good boy and knows his commands of come, sit, off and down. He tries hard to please and gives the best boxer kisses. All he wants is to be with you and give and receive Love. What more could you want?

Bowman is being treated for Demodex (the non contagious mange) which is sooooo common in stressed Boxers.
After treatment his bald spots will be gone.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.  

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.  

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.
