Tubbs is the best boxer anyone could have.  Tubbs is super smart and knows all of the basic commands .He listens like a champ. Tubbs is very well behaved and loves to just hang out with his people. Tubbs is good with free roam in the home after he adjusts in a few days. He has been tossed so many times from foster to home to kennel that I don't think he knows which end is up. He needs a boxer home.

Tubbs is housebroken and loves hanging out on the sofa. He is ok with other dogs as long as they don't bug him. Right now, he doesn't want to play, he just wants to hang out.  He is looking for a special home to go for long walks and enjoy car rides.

Tubbs is looking for the best home out there, he deserves it. If I could have another dog Tubbs would be it.

7/30/06 - Tubbs

This pup aims to please- the living definition of "mans best friend."

Tubbs convinces you simply by looking at you with his big droopy brown eyes while licking this jowls with his giant floppy tongue. He displays his loyalty when he sits by your side and quietly watches whatever it is you may be doing. Like the typical boxer, Tubbs has a very young heart- he is very playful and lovable. He simply needs your attention and he is satisfied. Unlike the typical boxer, he knows how to have quiet time too. He feels most comfortable on the floor with a pillow under his head. I have never met a better snuggler in my life. He is the perfect spooner and will change positions when you need to readjust.

Tubbs loves the outdoors. He loves to be walked and is able to sit at a park bench with you while you sip coffee or read the newspaper. His ideal partner would be someone who is willing to match Tubbs loyalty. Plenty of exercise and a backyard would be a bonus.

Even though Tubbs has had a rough life in oil pits and starvation, he holds no grudges. He has every excuse to be out of control with his history, but his nature is too sweet and lovable.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read the information on our Adoption Procedures, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.

Adoptions Fee: $300
