8/13/10 - MEMORIAL
1/1/00 - 8/10/10
We lost our Gucci last night and to the end, what a regal girl she was.
I can remember as if it were yesterday, picking her up in Pennsylvania four
years ago this November, and her coming with me without complaint - sitting
regally in the front seat the entire way home. She was a great girl,
not only greeting you at the door with a gift (a toy), but very happy to see
you. I always worried that she was not happy, or missed her first
family, but in my most recent pictures of her - it was quite evident that
she was very happy with us.
Gucci Girl, Pretty Girl, Baby Girl, Our Girl
Oh what a girl.....
We sure will miss you

11/2006 - ADOPTED!
11/08/06 - In foster
Gucci loves to wrestle with my dogs..............I have 9 dogs here ranging
from 12 lbs to 175 lbs and she loves them all. She loves to wrestle, run
laps and play ball in the yard. She loves to curl up beside them and nap.
She does not care if I or a dog is near her food when eating, you can take
anything out of her mouth, she is very gentle. She loves bellyrubs, hugs and
kisses and babytalk. She occupies herself with a sterilized beef bone. She
LOVES to ride in the car.
Gucci is an absolute love and is just enjoying herself. Her house
manners are perfect, not one accident and sleeps in her bed in our bedroom.
She is enjoying her stay with her foster family and we are enjoying her too.
Actually the first night she was here she made herself at home, and has
adjusted very well.
Gucci will make someone very happy as their companion.
10/14/06 - Gucci
As soon as I got her collar and leash on she transformed from the curled up,
shivering ball I saw on the cold kennel floor the day before. She was
excited and wanted nothing more then to go outside, get in the car and be on
her way to a new life. She was well behaved in the car, sleeping most of the
hour and a half drive to the vet. Once at the vet she didn't do anything but
wiggle and beg for pats on the head. She was completely calm and well
behaved while they gave her a manicure and pedicure and took blood. This
beautiful girl is patiently waiting at the kennel for a home to call her
forever home. She is reportedly good with children, her previous home had a
5 year old child.
Please open your heart and home to this wonderful boxer girl, all she
wants is your constant love and affection and in return she will give you
unconditional love and loyalty. What more could a person possibly ask for!?

Prior to adoption:
|
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read the
information on our
Adoption Procedures,
then fill out an
online application.
Boxers and Applicants
are not matched on a first come, first served basis.
Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes
between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an
approved applicant, depending
on your personal circumstances and flexibility.
Matching Boxers suitable for placement
with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special
needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review
time and adoption time.
And yes, we
realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted
before you're approved. Should your first choices all ready
found their forever home, we want you to advise
us as to other dogs you are interested in at
Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com . Or let
us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.
That is what we are good at. And be happy for the
ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many
fantastic dogs waiting in their place.
Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful
Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a
Boxer.
We hope you feel that
the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
