05/25/07 Max
needs a home with very strong leadership skills. Although he can and
has played nicely with other dogs, Max sometimes tries to take on the roll
of pack leader and disciplinarian. For now he will be placed in a home
without other animals.
He totally is wonderful and great with people. He is an athletic
boy and would be amazing for someone who is active.
Please consider this guy for your buddy.

Update
- Max continues to improve in his obedience class. He really enjoys the car
ride to class. Max knows commands such as sit, down, come, wait, and stay.
He is walking much better on the leash.
Max has been with us in our foster home for the past two months. He is
not a very vocal dog - I have only heard him bark a couple of times. Max
adapts well to routines. When it is time for bed, he settles in very quickly
and sleeps through the entire night. Max does not try to get on furniture in
the house. He is very content to lay at your feet, which is often where he
is at when I am watching TV or working on the computer.
He does need regular exercise because he is a young, teenage boy. Max
enjoys hiking with us on the weekends. He is ready to start his new life
with a family of his own.
Thank you for your interest in this adorable boy!

Update
- Max is now participating in a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Obedience class
while he is waiting for his forever home. He went to his first class on
Monday and did really well. Max is also getting along really well with both
of my dogs - he loves to run in the backyard with them. Max is a very loving
and playful young boy who is still waiting for a family to call his own!!

Update
- Max is a playful boy who loves to run in our backyard. He has finally
figured out what to do with the toys and he chases the Jolly Ball all over
the yard. He could live in a home as an only dog or in a home with another
dog to play with. We are working on his obedience skills. When we are home,
we leave the crate door open for Max and he will often go into his crate on
his own to nap. Max is starting to play more with the other dogs. I would
recommend a home without cats at this time.
Max is up to date with his vet care and is waiting for his new family.
Please give this boy a wonderful home!

Max was
very well behaved at the vets and they estimated him to be around 1 1/2
years old. We have had Max for a week now and he is adjusting really well in
our foster home. Max is housebroken and has no problems with the crate. He
doesn't chew on anything inappropriate in the house. Max doesn't seem to
understand yet what to do with toys or bones. He loves going for walks and
he also enjoys showing off his "shake" with his paw when you ask him to sit.
Max is currently living with our two other dogs and he is starting to
interact well with them. When Max gets excited, his whole body wiggles!!
This sweet boy loves to lean on you and he wants to be close to people.
2/19/07 -
Max is an adorable white boxer that was found as a stray in PA. We will
be picking him up this weekend to foster and he will be fully vetted on
Monday. The Humane Society reports that Max was recently neutered and they
describe him as friendly and well-mannered. They also note that Max is not
food aggressive.
We will provide an update with more information once we get to know
him. |
