Willy is in need of a foster or forever home. He would love to have a home with a female dog to play with. Willy will need a home that can provide plenty of exercise and leadership. He is looking for a calm and confident boxer savvy home. Please fill out an application if you can give Willy a wonderful home!

Willy joined our family recently.  What a gift!  He was so happy to get out of the kennel, he jumped right into the car.  We took him for a little exercise at a local park before heading home and he was such a gentleman.  In the car he was alert and curious about what was going on around us.  When he did get tired, he rested his head on my son's shoulder.

He has been an easy addition to our household; no accidents, even though his tummy was still a little nervous from the stress of the kennel. He loves his toys, especially hard rubber ones since they hold up longer, and will share with his foster sister when she plays with him.  She shares "her" couch with him, when they are both tired out from playing in the yard.  They take turns in the boxer recliner, since it barely holds him, and really couldn't take both of them!

Willy has been great for her.  She was rescued last year and really hadn't come out of her shell like we had hoped.  A couple of days with a playmate and she is much more outgoing.  Willy's a good influence and example for her.

He's very well mannered; he sits and waits for his food, knows sit, lay, shake and almost stays when instructed.  He has his own bed and since he isn't fond of the crate, he is fine with Savannah not sharing that.  Of course, being boxers, they prefer sleeping with their people but will wait politely until invited onto the bed.

On walks he is very polite, not pulling or wandering.  He didn't bark at the other dogs in the neighborhood, but we could tell he wanted to play.  Still, he kept to the sidewalk and went on.  My 15 year old couch potato son didn't have any trouble walking him either.

Willy is a very sweet, young boxer boy.  His coat is so silky, I could pet him for hours.  He likes the attention, but has other things to do.  Like run & play & chew on toys & tug of war with his foster sister.

If you are looking for a dog to keep busy with, this guy is for you.

Willie is so sad and stressed at the kennel. He is a big mushy boy that needs a strong leader. He would benefit from obedience class. He needs a home with a high fence or trained to underground fence, so he could be let free to run and play ball, which he loves.

He wants to be close to his people, I think because he was abandoned. Another non-aggressive dog to play with would be a plus. He is a beautiful dog with a super soft coat, and he loves people.

Willie needs a best friend...could that be you? Please go meet him, he is so lonely.

Willy is in great need for a boxer home with a fenced in yard. Willy needs a lot of exercise and someone who understands the needs of a young male boxer. Willy wants to play play play and run run run. He is not a huge fan of the crate so he needs someone to understand he will only want to go in his crate when he has exhausted his energy. How would you like to be put in a crate when you want to go to the gym or for a run? Willy is an excellent companion and athlete. If you are active and want to adopt a high spirited pup, Willy is your man!

Please offer to foster this wonderful Boxer boy as he is so ready to get OUT of the kennel!!

Meet Willie. Willie is a very handsome, loveable boy. He knows some basic commands and is learning his new ones very nicely. He gets along good with all his foster sisters and brother. He loves to run in the yard and play ball.

At the end of the day he is happy to cuddle up with you and watch TV and snooze. Willie is looking for a home where he has a fenced yard to run and play and a loving family to call his own. Is that you?

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read the information on our Adoption Procedures, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.

Adoptions Fee: $300
