PLEASE HELP US GET THESE SWEET GUYS OUT OF KILL SHELTERS

Robbie was found as a stray in PA, no one claimed him and now it's up to us to help out this kind gentleman before his time runs out. He may be in his autumn years with a few gray hairs, but he has a trim muscular body and moves like a young guy still.

Robbie has beautiful show cropped ears and has a very proud, regal presence - he may have even been a show dog at one time, who knows. He was very patient about having his ears cleaned out and face washed, teeth examined and is very comfortable being touched all over. He appears to be is great health, eyes sparkling and just needs to gain a few pounds. His overall appearance is quite exceptional.

He will sit and give his paw for treats and walks to heel on the leash, showing no reaction when passing other dogs, large or small.

Robbie needs a home that all seniors deserve, whether foster or permanent; one where his few needs can be met, a couple of walks to enjoy the summer sunshine with you, a comfy bed in a corner to call his own and some love.

A shelter is a sad place for our dogs to find themselves, older dogs still have much to offer and are far less demanding of our time than younger Boxers. Please consider helping this well mannered guy; if you open your door to him, he is guaranteed to open his heart to you.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.  

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.  

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.
