Eddie,
now DUKE is getting returned. Story is, they love him but he can jump their
fence and is not crate trained so he has chewed a few things when left
alone.
The
family had him for 5 months , last we spoke with them all was good and
getting better. Then, the
email saying Eddie needs a new home.
Eddie is a typical young boxer
that needs training and leadership from his forever home. He has a
wonderful personality, and just needs the right family that will invest some
time in training him.
Are you the right stuff for
Eddie?

Update - Eddie needs a new
home. A home with another dog to play. play, play would be great. He would
also do best with a home who has Boxer experience and who is in charge.
Eddie is a sweet, loving. goofy boy.
"Ok, so I stole an apple pie off the stove and rearranged a flower
arrangement and ate the remote. And I guess I need someone to help me
understand the crate. See I have never been in one of those things. The
people who had me before I came to this wonderful rescue, just left me tied
outside. I would love to go to those puppy classes I hear people talking
about, I think I would be a good student. Will you help me with all this
stuff? I need a partner!"
Sincerly, Eddie

Eddie is still in the kennel
waiting for his forever home. This sweet boy was with us in our home for a
few days and we found him to have a gentle and playful personality. He loved
to run in our fenced backyard with our two other dogs. Upon first meeting
them, Eddie quickly got into play position and there were no difficulties
with the introductions. Eddie appears housebroken and he quickly learned
which door he needed to go to when he wanted out. He would do best in a
placement where somebody is home frequently. Eddie loves people and he is
happiest when he is snuggled up close to you!

- Eddie
Meet Eddie, the sweetest boy going!. We picked Eddie up
today, he was found wondering the streets and taken to a local SPCA. They
were so over crowded they had no where to put him.
Eddie is a cuddle bug. He is one of those that thinks he is a lap dog! He
was absolutely wonderful in the car, road like a champ. I believe he was so
happy to be out of the shelter.
He met a cat on the way out the door, she gave him a swat and he just walked
away.
When we arrived at the kennel we took him for a nice walk. He was excellent
on leash. He saw another dog and only showed interest in meeting him, he did
not growl or bark. As we headed back to the kennel he went up to several
dogs that were on the other side of the fence, again, he didn't bark or
anything, just went to say hello and walked away.
We don't know that he has lived with other dogs or cats or kids, but I will
tell you this, he is as sweet as can be. I'm sure he will need some training
but he did not seem hyper or jumpy.
Eddie is estimated to be around 1 to 2 years old. I think he may have been a
dog that was chained outside, he has a spot under his neck that appears to
be abrasions from a chain. We bought him a harness and he was an angel while
we were putting it on him, he even lifted his front paw so we could get
under his belly to adjust it.
This doll baby deserves the best. He stole my heart!
