Belle is this amazing young girl that has transformed from a southern belle to a city belle in just one short day! When she showed up as a stray to a Virginia shelter she was set to be gassed as she was too thin and they were full! Can you believe it?

So off to our rescue she came, all skin and bones. We immediately put her on three meals a day, and wouldn't you know it- she has been filling out! Despite her obvious hard times Belle is no worse for the wear. She is the most affectionate little thing, always keen for a snuggle or a kiss. She's clearly been well-trained - she gives paw and sits on command easily, and is 110% housebroken. Belle can be left alone comfortably; she's happy to chill out on the couch and greet you enthusiastically when you come home! True to her name, she's a beautiful girl with the softest coat you can imagine and a silly toothy smile.

Once you meet her and experience her happy temperament, you'll want to take her home.

Belle is a stray to the same shelter as Chantilly. The girls rode nicely together in the same crate for a portion of their transport. Belle is a real sweetheart of a girl, approximately 3 years old, and even in her emaciated condition, still has a lot of energy and enthusiasm. In spite of her obvious neglect, her happy attitude shines through.

Come meet Belle, but plan to have your heart swept away by her charm and her cheerful smile. She’s a sweetie who is ready for her new life with a family who will cherish her always and give her the very best life has to offer, she deserves nothing less. She requests a home with no kitties please; she doesn’t think she really likes them all that well.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.  

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.  

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.
