| 05/31/08 Update - Champ is being returned to rescue. He was adopted
into a city home and is not doing well in that environment. Due to his
energy level, Champ must have a fenced yard to run and play in. He is 1.5
yrs old and does wonderful with kids of all ages. Champ is also great with
cats and other dogs. Apply today if you can give Champ a new home!!
2/5/08Champ is one of the best foster dogs I've ever had. He loves other dogs
and is great with my cats too! He lived in a home with kids in his past life
and would love a home with all three! He needs a home with a large fenced-in
yard so he can run around a lot and also a home committed to taking him for
long walks daily. He has a lot of energy in that tiny little body!! We are
working on crate training which is going pretty well.  He's a lovable,
outgoing, friendly boxer that wants a family to love him unconditionally.
    Apply today!

1/22/08 Champ is a wonderful, tiny
little boxer boy. He was surrendered to a shelter by his owners because he
was displaying behaviors that are a direct effect of lack of exercise and,
believe it or not, because he is "too friendly sometimes"! This boy needs
more than a yard to run in- he needs to walk every day. In my home, he
hasn't been anything but wonderful. He's a young, energetic and very
friendly little guy that just needs challenging exercise each and every day
to be a great dog. He has been getting a walk a day, plus 15-30 minutes of
either roller blading or running full speed in a very large fenced-in
baseball field near my home, and playtime in the back yard. This has been
keeping him nice and tired and very calm while in the house. A tired dog is
a good dog! Champ likes to sleep on his dog bed but really prefers to snuggle with me
on the couch. He's a big snuggler and curls up under the covers with me and
sleeps through the night. He also loves my female boxer and follows her
around everywhere. She chases the cat, so does he. She eats, he eats. She
sits or lays down, he does the same. They were best friends immediately!
Champ is good with the cats- curious and playful- he got smacked a few times
and hissed at and he just stared at her- he is too funny! He has no problems
with people or animals taking his food, toys or bones away and is just an
all-around wonderful boxer that deserves a home that can fulfill his needs.
Is that you? Fill out the application today for Champ or any of our other great dogs!
