Look
at this amazing girl! In only two weeks she has put on 10 pounds, she now is
up to 37lbs! and her healing is almost complete, as you can see she looks
nothing like she did a few weeks ago.
This sweet girl is learning so quickly, and is quite the cuddle bug. She is
ready to go to her forever home!

- Update
This
little girl is the sweetest ever. She was spayed yesterday, heartworm and
parasite negative and now vaccinated... also she is up to 30.6 pounds. The
first thing she did when we got home was make sure her bed was still there.
She's not a fan of going outside {it's cold!} but she's learning quickly
that the sooner she does her business, the sooner she gets to go back inside
to the warmth. She's always happy to see any human {she really likes the
boys}. She seems very eager to please and grateful for her new life.

Chrissy is a young female found laying on the side
of a PA road and brought to a vet's office by a caring individual.
She was maggot infested and could barley walk.
She is estimated to be 1 - 2 yrs old and weighed only 27 lbs. She is
severely malnourished, has a prolapsed vagina- uterus, has a hole on her
hind end, where a bone is showing through, and may have been pregnant but
aborted as there is no evidence of milk production.
After some iv fluids she was able to stand. She is
responding to fluids, her gums are getting pinker.
Please help us help this little
girl. |

I
Am A
Thank you Heidi for
naming this Chrissy after your sister. We hope both Chrissys will gain
strength from your actions.I am choosing Chrissy
because of my oldest sister Christine. She is fighting non-small lung cancer.
She is the strongest person I know. She is only 42, has a wonderful family,
works as a school nurse and has three beautiful children. She has never smoked
and is battling this horrible disease. I wanted to name a dog in her name
because she is STRONG, and in my eyes is trying to work through many obstacles
to overcome this horrible part of her life. People and animals alike... as long
as their is enough, love, faith, support, and comfort around you no matter the
situation, hope may bring you happiness...

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read the
information on our
Adoption Procedures,
then fill out an
online application.
Boxers and Applicants
are not matched on a first come, first served basis.
Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes
between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an
approved applicant, depending
on your personal circumstances and flexibility.
Matching Boxers suitable for placement
with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special
needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review
time and adoption time.
And yes, we
realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted
before you're approved. Should your first choices all ready
found their forever home, we want you to advise
us as to other dogs you are interested in at
Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com . Or let
us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.
That is what we are good at. And be happy for the
ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many
fantastic dogs waiting in their place.
Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful
Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a
Boxer.
We hope you feel that
the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
