06/09/08 Update
-Maxwell is still awaiting his forever home. Max needs a home without
young children or cats. He is doing great in his foster home but would
really like his own.
Maxwell plays well with others in typical boxer style with paws and
growly barks. He loves his foster bothers and has tons of fun running around
the house after the tennis ball with the boys on the hardwood floors Woo Hoo!!
This makes for a great boxer game! Maxwell still can't quite figure out how
to use his long legs and reminds his foster family of a baby giraffe; it is
comical!
This young boy needs consistent work on his greetings; he doesn't quite
trust others at first and gives a quick turn of the head when he feels
intimidated. We feel Maxwell has had a rough past and someone was very rough
with him. He is a very sweet, sensitive dog. Maxwell is crate trained knows
all his basic commands like sit, down, heel, leave it, stay, off and go to
bed. He is extremely well mannered on his walks and needs a daily long jog
to keep him happy and entertained.
We love him very, very much but we know he needs and deserves a home of
his own. Please help Maxwell learn to trust again. He is ready and waiting
for that special someone to adopt him and appreciate him for the boxer he
is!
Is that you?

Maxwell's foster Mom is a dog trainer and this is what she reports: Maxwell
needs a strong pack leader who's home is boxer savvy. He was harshly handled
in his former life and now needs a stable, quiet home to help him overcome
his doubt of some humans. Because of this he will not be placed in a home
with young children. Maxwell is crate trained and walks beautifully on the
leash. He know his commands of sit, down, stay, heel, leave it and drop it.
Maxwell loves belly rubs, long walks and quiet nights. Maxwell enjoys the
company of other dogs and plays typical boxer style "boxing" with his paws.
This boy is young with lots of energy so he needs a leader committed to
vigorous daily exercise. A leader that knows he an intelligent boy and will
keep him physically and mentally balanced. Maxwell is very goofy and all
legs. He enjoys making his foster family laugh with his puppy antics.
Maxwell is a good boy! If you are an active boxer savvy home and is ready to
exercise daily, discipline firmly, not harshly and love unconditionally
won't you please consider adopting Maxwell?
