4/4/12 Micha just celebrated what we
believe is her 9th Birthday. She was by far truly overwhelmed with her
gifts, cake, & special dinner. This little girl is the sweetest senior
Boxer. She gets along great with her foster sisters & brother. Micha loves
her crate and will go in during the day to just nap & get away for a few
hours. I was told from her previous owners that she needs to be let out
several times a day to use the bathroom; however, that has not been the case
here. I work full time hours and she has been left all day without any
problems. Micha recently had a tooth removed, as well as a cleaning, and she
is doing wonderful. From what the Vet said, other than some arthritis, Micha
is in great shape!
Micha is a tiny girl weighing in around 44lbs with the smallest legs &
feet that I have ever seen on a boxer. She is able to do my steps (14
total), but I sometimes carry her to make it a little more comfortable.
Micha is wonderful with children, but she is a little shy with adults when
she first meets people. She does warm up very quickly. Micha is a low
maintenance baby and just wants to be loved, fed, and have a warm spot on
the bed. She is great on the leash and will literally jump up and down when
you ask her if she wants to go bye bye! Micha LOVES to be held - the other
night she laid in my lap for about 2 hours, just looking at me as if to say
thanks. She truly is an amazing girl with a huge heart!

Micha was adopted in June 2008
and had been a Hurricane Katrina survivor. She was placed into a home at 5
years of age. Four years later, Micha is being returned to rescue because
her family indicates they can no longer afford Micha's care and do not have
the time for her. Fortunately for Micha, we have a foster home for her to go
to. Micha will be in foster with two other boxers, a male and a
female, a small dog, and two cats.
Micha's previous owner reports that she is a very sweet and loving girl.
Micha is wonderful with children of all ages, other dogs, cats, and horses.
She is still a very spunky and energetic girl. Micha loves going for for
walks and does great on leash. Her idea of playing is just running around
you and jumping into the air. She enjoys being with her people and spends a
lot of time lounging. Micha is reported to be housebroken, but she needs
somebody who can let her out during the day. Micha is crate trained and
takes comfort being in her crate. If you are looking for a sweet, easygoing
girl with a great temperament - apply today for Micha and give her the
forever home she deserves.

Pretty little Micha, and
every bit as sweet as she is cute. I cannot believe she is still available,
I would have expected one so nice to have been snatched up very quickly.
Wherever she goes, everyone falls in love with her. She was recently at the
vet’s office and when I called to check on her, the person at the front desk
said the entire staff had fallen in love with Micha.
She is reported to be extremely wonderful with children of all ages and
loves being around them. She is good with other dogs, cats and horses. She
is an all around great little girl who will fit in nicely in most any home;
she is an easy keeper.
If you are looking for a little princess to make your home complete, no
need to look any further.
Thank you for considering Micha.

- Micha
Micha is a sweet female boxer who is being surrendered
so that she can find a family of her own that can give her more time and
attention. She does need a lot of potty breaks, so we are looking for a home
for Micha where somebody is there often. Micha is crate trained and reported
to be great with other dogs, kids, cats, and horses. She is currently living
with a 3 year old child. She loves to play and would do well with a fenced
in yard. Micha walks excellent on a leash. She is very sweet and would
cuddle all day if given the chance. Apply today if you can give Micha the
kind of home she deserves! |

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read the
information on our
Adoption Procedures,
then fill out an
online application.
Boxers and Applicants
are not matched on a first come, first served basis.
Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes
between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an
approved applicant, depending
on your personal circumstances and flexibility.
Matching Boxers suitable for placement
with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special
needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review
time and adoption time.
And yes, we
realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted
before you're approved. Should your first choices all ready
found their forever home, we want you to advise
us as to other dogs you are interested in at
Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com . Or let
us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.
That is what we are good at. And be happy for the
ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many
fantastic dogs waiting in their place.
Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful
Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a
Boxer.
We hope you feel that
the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
