Update - Miller has lost his home again - and has since been moved to a
different foster home in New York. We will update Miller's page once he has
time to adjust to his new foster placement. Thank you for your interest in
Miller!

We love our Old Man but
really want him to have the home he truly deserves. His own family to love
and adore. He is just the greatest dog to live with. Always funny, always
wants a belly rub (or 3), always looking for the next treat.
Please adopt Miller today.

Miller is still waiting for
someone to be his forever home. We adore the "old man" but would love to see
him in his own home where he can spend his time sleeping in the sun and
getting tons of belly rubs. We love our senior boxer and find him to be no
trouble at all. He doesn't ask for much and just enjoys being with us. Oh,
by the way....Miller loves truck rides. The bigger the truck the more he
likes it. He thinks he is king of the world. So Proud.... Even though we
have to lift him in and out of the truck. Please consider adopting Miller or
one of the other senior boxers. They need less exercise, are usually well
housebroken and have outgrown the destructive chewing stage of a puppy. They
have learned the house rules and are pretty world wise and people savvy.
Miller sleeps longer than any of the others and always claims the softest
bed! to sleep on. After all he has earned it.

Volunteer Teresa Haas put together this beautiful tribute to Miller and
all the senior dogs thrown away by others, but given a chance by rescue
volunteers and adopters like you.

Update
- This is one sweet guy. Miller is an older gentleman, but has the heart and
soul of a much younger dog. He plays well with other dogs for short periods
of time but would rather light play and relaxing walks. He has a curious hop
step when he walks but gets around just fine. Miller loves long naps on his
orthopedic bed (who wouldn't), appreciates belly rubs and a tasty cookie! He
is housebroken, crate trained, walks well on the leash, knows all his basic
commands.
Miller prefers older children since the younger ones may be too much for
him with there high pitched noise and sudden movements. Miller likes to meet
new people and looks forward to the day when someone will adopt him and give
him the home he deserves.
Will you please consider adopting Miller or one of the other senior
boxers? These dogs need less exercise, are usually well housebroken and have
passed the puppy stage of chewing and destruction. All the seniors want is
good company, a soft bed, and the love they have truly earned.

- Miller
11 year old Miller
was surrendered to the Brooklyn Shelter. His owner was moving and couldn't
take him. But he assured us that Miller loves men, women, children, other
dogs AND cats!!!!! He also said that Miller is very loving, very obedient,
and housetrained. Poor Miller was very uncomfortable at the shelter. He has
old sores on the paws and legs/knees/elbows. He clearly appreciates caresses.
After 11 years to just leave your dog at a kill shelter. I just don't
understand people!!!
