Hi Folks! I'm Kaelyn! Things are going great at my foster home, but I need to find a forever home. My foster mom says I'm a very good girl. I am doing pretty good on housebreaking and I've learned to walk on a leash. I love, love, love my foster brothers and sisters. I'm crate trained too. I get along great with all the dogs I meet. I'm not overly impressed with my neighbors cat because he doesn't seem to want to play, but my foster mom thinks I probably would be fine with cats. Oh...and I'm little!! I'm just under 40 lbs and I probably won't grow that much more. I have a tiny little face and the cutest ears. I love to be silly and I can play all day long but my most favorite thing to do is to curl up next to you and take a nap. I love my people! I am still a puppy so I have lots of energy. I'd love to go to a home with another dog to play with. Please consider adopting me today!

Can you say "adorable?" That's the best way to describe little Kaelyn. This petite little puppy started life out a bit rough, but it has taken her no time at all to fit right into a home environment. She's just a tiny 35 lbs at about 8 months old, so we think she'll be on the small side. Kaelyn lives with several other dogs, large and small, and she does great. She is respectful of seniors dogs and ready to play with the younger ones. Kaelyn is learning leash manners and basic skills. She is a good eater and will eat what you give her every time. Kaelyn is also crate trained and is getting much better in house breaking.

But overall...the most remarkable thing about this little girl is how much she loves people! She loves to snuggle and give hugs. In true boxer style, she would prefer that a part of her body is touching you at all times. She gives little kisses and hugs to whomever will take them.

So...do you have a place in your home and heart for this little sweetie? Please consider adopting Kaelyn (and if you want two...her brother Quincy is also available!).

8/4/13 -

Kaelyn and Quincy have not received the best start in life. These two puppies are estimated to be around 8 months of age. Animal control persuaded the owners to surrender the puppies to the shelter. They arrived very thin, timid, and covered in wounds. Even with the neglect they have suffered, they are both very sweet with people. The shelter asked AABR to help give these two a second chance in life.

Kaeyln and Quincy were transported this weekend into rescue. They will be evaluated at our vet, brought up to date on all vet care, and spayed/neutered. They will then be going into separate foster homes. Kaeyln is a fawn female who is a little more reserved. Her foster mom will update her page once she arrives home this week and settles in. If you are interested in giving Kaelyn a forever family, apply today!

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure, by clicking on the link at the top of this page, then fill out an online application.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an approved applicant, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility.

Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved.   Should your first choices all ready found their forever home, we want you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in at Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com .  Or let us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.  That is what we are good at.   And be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a Boxer.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
