8/19/13 Quincy is a nice boy who is
fitting in well with his 3 foster siblings, both male and female. Quincy is
still very scared, but is doing well warming up to new people and things. He
likes to be part of the group, so I think he would do best in a home with
another dog to keep him company. If you are looking for two, his sister
Kaelyn is also still available.
Quincy has had no accidents and does fine in the crate, even though he
doesn't really like it. He is all puppy - so watch your shoes, folks! He
does know what "No" means and has dropped my shoe each time! Remember that
puppies are a little more work, but this boy will be well worth it! Quincy
is very sweet, eager to please, and is food motivated. There is not
much more you can ask for in a puppy!

Quincy and Kaelyn have not received the best start in life. These two
puppies are estimated to be around 8 months of age. Animal control persuaded
the owners to surrender the puppies to the shelter. They arrived very thin,
timid, and covered in wounds. Even with the neglect they have suffered, they
are both very sweet with people. The shelter asked AABR to help give these
two a second chance in life.
Quincy and Kaeyln were transported this weekend into rescue. They will be
evaluated at our vet, brought up to date on all care, and spayed/neutered.
They will then be going into separate foster homes. Quincy is a brindle male
who is a little more outgoing and playful. His foster mom will update his
page once he arrives home this week and settles in. If you are interested in
giving Quincy a forever family, apply today |

"I would like to name the next available dog, Quincy. This name is given as a
birthday gift to my Mom, who is an animal lover. She lost her dog, Quincy a few
months ago. Giving another dog his name is a perfect way to honor both him and
my Mom. Robin Witt |
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please first read our Adoption Procedure,
by clicking on the link at the top of this page,
then fill out an
online application.
Boxers and Applicants
are not matched on a first come, first served basis.
Not all applications are approved. On average, it takes
between a week and 1 month to adopt a Rescue Boxer to an
approved applicant, depending
on your personal circumstances and flexibility.
Matching Boxers suitable for placement
with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special
needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review
time and adoption time.
And yes, we
realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted
before you're approved. Should your first choices all ready
found their forever home, we want you to advise
us as to other dogs you are interested in at
Adoptions@AdoptABoxerRescue.com . Or let
us suggest a few that we feel will match your home.
That is what we are good at. And be happy for the
ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many
fantastic dogs waiting in their place.
Our non-profit organization is wholly comprised of hard-working volunteers whose only reward is seeing our wonderful
Boxers placed in loving, permanent homes and given another chance for a happy life. Our process may seem slow, but if you are patient, we will try to provide you with a devoted, loving companion - a
Boxer.
We hope you feel that
the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
